Description: Copal is a tree resin used by the cultures of pre-Columbian Mesoamerica as a ceremonial incense. When burned on charcoal it produces a light, citrus and piney scent that can be used for spiritual cleansing and clearing. Copal was used in ancient Maya and Aztec ceremonies as a ritual offering to the gods.
